The very first race weekend of the TCR Eastern Europe 2025 season proved that Aditis Racing has to be taken into consideration in terms of championship contenders. Thanks to three podium finishes, our drivers gained 61 points, which awarded them 3rd and 4th place in the overall standings.
The seventh season of TCR Eastern Europe kicked off in the surroundings of Austrian Alps, at the famous track Red Bull Ring. Our two black-green Audis, driven by Bartosz Groszek and Martin Kadlecik, were very strong all weekend long. On the hilly and very fast track, Bartosz set the 3rd fastest lap in qualifying, staying only two thousandths behind the 2nd fastest driver. Martin set the 5th fastest lap time.
In race number one, Bartosz got stuck behind the second driver, which allowed Martin to catch up, after moving one position up right after the start. Our cars crossed the finish line in 4th and 5th. Thanks to the penalty for the driver in 2nd place, both of our drivers moved one position up and it turned out as a double podium. Very strong start of the season!
Starting grid for the second race was set by a draw - based on race 1 results, 9 cars switched their positions, which awarded our cars a 7th and 8th starting place. It took a very short time and both Audis were in the front again - Martin 2nd, Bartosz 3rd. Martin was preparing his move to take the lead. When overtaking, he made a slight mistake, which caused him to fight not for the lead, but for the second position. The fight unfolded between him and another Czech driver, Adam Kout. It was a long, close, but fair battle. When it finished, Martin dropped down one position, unfortunately. The result - 3rd and 4th place, is still very good.
The second event of the TCR Eastern Europe 2025 season will also take place in Austria - at Salzburgring. We will leave there as the 2nd best team of the championship.
