Right before the end of this year we can announce who is becoming our second driver for TCR Eastern Europe 2023. The title-winning blue Audi RS3 LMS TCR will be driven by the talented Austrian youngster Tobias Poschik.
The seventeen-year old racing driver made his debut in a race car in 2022 after switching from karting. He managed to win the title in the Clio Cup, which takes place during the ESET Cup Series race weekends. On top of that, he became the best junior driver in the ESET Cup Series. One of the prizes he won was the starting fee for the whole season in TCR Eastern Europe and he also became a part of the ESET RaceStar programme, which supports young talented drivers. Tobias had several teams to choose from for 2023, including ours, as we've been cooperating with ESET RaceStar for a long time. „The main reason why we chose the Aditis Racing team was their professional work at the track,“ says Tobias and continues: „We planned to move up to TCR, but first we had to go through the financial stuff. It also worked thanks to the ESET RaceStar project. I'm very thankful for being a part of this project. Without its support, it wouldn't be possible to move up to TCR Eastern Europe.“
The whole Aditis Racing team is happy to welcome the new driver, which was confirmed by our boss Radim Adámek: „We're glad we can welcome Tobias in our team. I was impressed with his personality from our first meeting. It seems he could fit very well into our team. I'm also happy that we continue cooperating with the ESET RaceStar project because every driver supported by this project who has come to us, was talented and ambitious. That's why we're looking forward to the new colaboration. And what makes me the most happy is the fact that Bartek offered to help Tobias during the race weekends of TCR Eastern Europe that he won't be attending as a racing driver.“
„Before the TCR Eastern Europe season starts in the beginning of April, we plan to do a testing day so that Tobias can drive the Audi for the first time. Hopefully we will be able to get a day in Most or Brno,“ concludes Radim.
