We experienced great success as well as a bad luck under the Alps

Our racing driver Sebastian Steibel claimed his first podium in TCR Eastern Europe 2023. Radim Adámek experienced a bad luck again.

One of the most spectacular circuits in the TCR Eastern Europe 2023 calendar - Red Bull Ring - was the last stop of the first half of the 2023 season. All of our Audis took part and also this time our drivers showed up!

It was mostly Sebastian Steibel who got the attention. He took 6th place in both qualifying and race 1. The main show of our German driver came in the second race, though. From the second row on the grid, Sebastian managed to have a great start and after a short battle for the second position he placed his car one second behind the leader of the race. After the safety car phase, which followed, he managed to get much closer and the beautiful fight for the win in the race could start. For Sebastian it would be the first win in his TCR Eastern Europe history. For nearly three rounds he tried pretty hard to take over the lead of the race, but eventually he wasn't successful. Second place is still a great result, though.

Tobias Poschik was able to delete a bit of a gap of his outdated Audi with an aggressive drive and he fought in the middle of the field. Before the first race, he stood at 9th place on the starting grid. After the chequered flag he was also classified 9th. Unfortunately, he was too aggressive in one of the battles and he gained the 10 seconds penalty which moved him down to the 11th place. In the second race he finished 8th.

Radim Adámek didn't experienced his best race weekend at Red Bull Ring. Overheated brakes in the qualifying prevented him from gaining maybe 3 or 4 steps up the order. As it was shown later, the starting position didn't matter. Radim's Audi had a technical problem and he retired from the race at the end of the very first lap. In the second race the car was alright and Radim enjoyed some nice battles with the guys in front of him. From the 22nd starting position he managed to move up to 15th place. It was a shame that he made a slide mistake which enabled two drivers to overtake him back, so eventually he claimed 17th place. He moved up 5 places in the race which was a satisfying end of the Austrian race weekend.

Radim with Bartosz Groszek started in the ESET Cup Endurance race again. Our duo was leading the field for the major part of the race. Unluckily, they were overtaken a few minutes before the end of it, so they finished 2nd.
